Shot entirely in one continuous take, The Light is a short atmospheric thriller that explores isolation, mystery, and the unknown—set entirely from the perspective of a lone driver navigating a dark wooded road outside Houston. What starts as a quiet night drive quickly unravels when a strange radio broadcast warns of unexplained lights in the sky. What follows is a surreal and suspenseful series of events that blur the line between reality and something otherworldly.

This project was an exercise in long-form tension and restraint. With the camera locked in the backseat, I relied on lighting, practical effects, and sound design to create a believable and eerie world within the confines of a car. From custom After Effects work to building the light beam animation from scratch, this piece challenged me to balance storytelling with technical experimentation—all within a two-and-a-half-minute one-shot format.
